I am grateful for you!

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for YOU. Thank you for being here and being a part of this journey. Your enthusiasm helps fuel my passion to share my artwork. My art business helps contribute to my family and community and each art sale no matter how big or small makes my heart leap and I seriously do a happy jig. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!

I am also feeling super thankful because this year marks the 10th year of cancer free-ness!! In 2009, I received the most unexpected news. My husband and I were living as missionaries in El Salvador and my days were filled mothering two small children. Then one day, I found out that I had an aggressive form of cancer. Many life lessons presented themselves throughout the process of healing. (On the next blog post, I wish to take a moment and share these lessons with you.) I don’t know why cancer happened and perhaps I will truly never know. Truthfully, allowing the mystery to remain a mystery has been one of the hardest things for me to accept. And perhaps this is one of the most intriguing elements of life and faith; trusting each step without fully knowing where we will end up. But I trust that many life lessons came from this experience and helped me move forward, pursue my dream to create art and embrace life. Please feel free to share with me a powerful life lesson you have had and spread the love.

During the healing years, I painted this big blue piece. A woman, I like to think an angel, appeared in it. I see her as a feminine version of the Holy Spirit. (This piece sold the second it was hung in NYC and now you can purchase a print of it on canvas, paper or metal. I'm almost ready to announce my holiday sale for this year, and I can't wait! Stay tuned for details.) Tap to shop this image.
