El Salvador Series 3

There is nothing more sacred than the spaces that provide nourishment.

✨The nourishment that we received, even in the most challenging and darkest times, reminded me that the Divine is with us giving us breath in the most surprising ways.

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡»El Salvador has some of the best surfing in the world. In the early hours, Dave, and I braved the sometimes rough and trash-filled waters to learn how to surf. Learning to surf was a long and challenging process but the adventure was nourishing. We had to learn the water and overcome fears of the unknown. In the beginning, there were rough moments. I had been held under spinning like a laundry cycle in all directions by gigantic waves and then thrown onto the rocks. Somehow the desire to keep on trying brought about a journey and opportunity for us to learn how to relax intense moments and let go of fears.
🌊This is probably my first favorite abstract painting. By the movement of waves and the deepness of color, this painting expresses big emotions as well as my belief that God can give us breath underwater and cares about our nourishment.

How will you nourish your mind, body, and spirit more this week?
