The City Hall in Columbia Missouri is one of my new releases. Now available in prints. 🖼
The City Hall in Columbia is also known as the Daniel Boone Building. It has a vibrant history and was built in 1917. Originally built as a hotel it became a popular gathering place for Columbians. The hotel closed its doors in the 1960s and was damaged by a fire in the 1970s. The City of Columbia purchased and occupied the building shortly after. The attention to detail inside is superior and it incorporates features that conserve energy, water and other resources.
This piece was a commission for Kate and Matt Pitzer to give to Columbia's sister city in Japan.
Enjoy the process photos below.
Have a beautiful week!
